Late Birthday Post

My birthday was on July 17. These pictures are really late. I barely took any pictures that day, I was so caught up in enjoying the day I forgot. I had to do some self taken pictures.
I went out to eat with my family and Nathan on the day of my birthday at Maggiano's. I celebrated with my friends before hand and shopping with my mom before my birthday as well.

Nathan purposely sabotages my photos. All of them. Even on my birthday.

Instagram

Hey friends. I've always meant to invite people to check out my Instagram on my blog but I would always forget. I recently just had to leave a memo note on my phone. Yay for remembering! You can find me @annjelica on instagram. I put up pictures of all sorts of things like outfit posts, food, everyday things I come across, and my monster Venice, just a bunch of random pictures. I'm better at updating my instagram outfits then I am with my blog only cause its easier on my phone. I would love to follow anyone else if they have an Instagram as well. Just let me know!

Chicago and a Pixie Cut

My family and I took a short vacation to Chicago in June, I am just now getting around to posting photos. Honestly I could never understand the obsession with the city. That is until I stepped foot in it. I love this city so much now! I want to go back every year! Ha!And also news I got a pixie cut. I have been contemplating it for more than a year now and I just had a spur of the moment and went ahead and got it all cut off. I really like it, I'm still just trying to get used to it. So are my parents, when I first showed my dad he literally didn't say anything and just walked away. We didn't speak for days. Now he likes it. Ha!

Watching the news right now regarding the Colorado shooting. Its devastating what has happened, I cannot imagine what the city and the people involved are going through. Keep them in your prayers blogger friends. Lets take a time out today and see how blessed we are, even when we think we are not.

Nautical Stripes

Found this dress at H&M, at first I wasn't too crazy about it until I put it on. And now I am obsessed with it. I just want to wear it every day! Belt, gold stacked bangles and necklace from Forever 21, purple glitter bangle from Betsy Johnson, sunglasses from Stylemint and shoes Jessica Simpson.

 Jazzed the picture above using Instagram filters. I don't remember which one. Just finished reading Rapture by Lauren Kate part of the Fallen series. If anyone hasn't heard of it yet, check it out! Especially if you are a fan of Twilight like me. Haha.

Pink jeans

I obviously am worse at updating my blog when I don't have school. I have been so busy sleeping, working out, leisure reading and busy with my summer school class.
I haven't really decided if I wanted to get into the colored jeans trend. Mainly because I didn't think it would last long. At least not till after summer. That is until I found these jeans at Zara. I think they are a nice color that isn't too "notice me" kind of thing. I'm wearing a grey blouse from the Gap, chambray top and necklace from Forever 21, and Jessica Simpson sandals.

 I have been reading "East of Eden" by Steinbeck and alot of other books so far. I should put up a blog post regarding my summer reading list. Getting back to every single comment, I promise!

Meadow of Flowers

Short Hair Finally

I have been out of internet for awhile now and now this new blogger stuff hasn't allowed me to update on my phone. I finally got the courage to cut my hair short! I was so nervous because I hate fixing my hair and rarely ever do. So naturally it just flips out and goes wavy and gets hard to manage. But its actually not that bad... for now at least. I feel that it makes me actually look my age now.
Took pictures around my school today for the first time.Wearing a Forever 21 sheer pink blouse, Hollister white tank underneath, American Eagle cut off denim shorts and again my brown boots.

A fun little squirrel to a great end to the day.

I just finished reading "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith. It is a really good book. Hope you guys will consider reading it.

Aerie bralette, I think its a fun and sexy.

I read "Wither" the first installment of this book over spring break. And I want to read this one so bad. But I have to wait till school is over.

I love Gotye so much! I've been listening to them non stop on Pandora. I need to get the CD soon.

Random walks in the park

Nathan and I took a random walk at the park and by chance came across this great little area. It reminds of the Taylor Swift "Safe and Sound" video setting, with all the trees and the pathway. I think this place is so beautiful and I cannot wait to go back again. I used my iPhone to take these pictures since I wasn't planning on taking any pictures. I really just wanted to capture the scene and the sunset. That's why I'm not wearing any makeup and my hair is in a bun. Wearing a coral lace tank from Urban Outfitters, Hollister skinny jeans, Old Navy gray tank underneath and Gianni Bini leather ankle boots.

The usual gloom look on my face. ;)

Star Gazing

Ever since I was little I have always loved stars. I remember my parents buying me a telescope and spending all night pretending to be an astronomer, which was really hard cause I lived in the city.
So its no surprise I bought this dress and have a number of star items scattered around my room, I still have glow in the dark stars on my ceiling. I got this dress at H&M when it first opened in Dallas. The boots are Lucky Brand, they are black suede with buckles and a decent sized heel. And pretty uncomfortable, hasn't stopped me from wearing them a lot lately though.
I took this photo awhile ago, but haven't had the time (as usual) to post. I don't think I'm wearing any makeup in the photo and my hair is how it always is-washed, unfixed and unbrushed.
