Vintage Lacoste

I do believe that I have the frailest immune system ever. I am sick again. This whole Christmas break I have been sick except for maybe 5 days. And yesterday it has happened yet again. My New Year's wish is to have a better immune system-seriously.
Here I am wearing a vintage Lacoste sweater, H&M grey jean leggings, Hollister white long sleeve underneath and my Zara combat boots. I found this sweater at Goodwill a couple months ago with Nathan and have been waiting forever to wear it. These leggings are like 2-3 years old, I got on a trip to California. I always love the monochromatic look, I never mind wearing all black or all grey.

Do I always look this sad...? haha

Venice walking around, red eyes and all, kind of scary.

New Year's Eve tomorrow, anyone have any exciting plans? I'd love to know them. I cannot wait to see your beautiful creative outfits and photos. Hope its exciting, fun and safe for everyone!

Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas blogger friends! I know everyone is busy with family and friends and I hope all is well with everyone! I just wanted to make a quick blog post for Christmas. I went to Midnight Mass, its a family tradition, then went home and opened presents at like 1:30 in the morning and then ate and just sat around with the family laughing and drinking wine. And finished the night watching 30 Minutes or Less at around 4 am. Long night.
Here I'm wearing a new dress from H&M, black tights, Old Navy belt and Zara riding boots.

How cute is Venice next to her bag of presents, which consisted of toys and new dog treats.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Can't wait to read about it in your blogs.

Lace body suits and long skirts

It appears my obsession with lace really knows no bounds. I just love lace, amongst other things. I've had this body suit, which I like to call a onesie, for awhile now, I picked it up at Abercrombie and Fitch of all places. The long brown, polka dot skirt I found at Forever 21, I've had since September but I never could figure out how I wanted to wear it. Shoes from Gianni Bini, I snagged from my mom's closet.
I've been doing a lot of reading and drawing lately. Just a couple minutes ago I finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, I am currently in love with Rooney Mara's look right now. SO I had to find out more about the movie, cause I couldn't wait until it came out. I loved the book, couldn't put it down. Scary in some places, for me at least. I'm looking forward to buying the next installment tomorrow.
Speaking of scary, I watched Scream 4 last night with Nathan, I could not sleep last night, completely convinced someone was in my closet. My imagination can be good and bad sometimes.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful break. What are you all doing to relax? Share your ideas.

Fireplace Pink

Hey friends. I have no idea what to call this blog post so I called it "Fireplace Pink", makes no sense I know, but I'm near a fireplace and I'm wearing pink. And I'm not creative at all.
Today I went Christmas shopping with Nathan, basically I went to the mall showed Nathan everything I wanted and then he would tell me to wander the mall by myself and leave to get my presents without me actually seeing it. Haha. And come back with bags in hand from stores we had just visited. Then we made a quick trip to the bank and grabbed some burrito bowls at Chipotle and spent the rest of the night playing Kinect sports and watching Animal Planet and the Travel Channel. Today I wore a new pink sweater from Forever 21, striped under shirt from Ruehl, jeans from Hollister, and boots from Zara. The sweater has cute little lace details on the side and I'm wearing a brand new necklace,  my mother gave me a couple days ago to lift up my spirits. I love the cute little key heart design, I've always wanted to get a tattoo of a key somewhere, but I hate that its so permanent. I cannot stop wearing these boots seriously. I bought them last winter and loved them just as much. I wear them with everything, last night I went out to watch a movie and I wore these riding boots with some grey sweats and a long cardigan, so wonderfully weird. But i just love them too much.

I disappeared again, even when I was on a break, I apologize. I've been going through a bit of a dilemma these past couple of days. Any prayers or kind words would be more than appreciated.
I hope everyone is doing much better than I am.

Christmas Break-Finally

I finally had my last day of school for the Fall semester! It was on Monday, but I have been busy catching up on sleep, being lazy, playing Call of Duty and Dance Central 2 and actually enjoying watching TV and not freaking out that I have something due at school. I'm so sorry that I have been neglecting the blog lately, its just been so hectic with finals and clinical lab skills and everyday drama that occurs in life.
Here I'm wearing a white and red striped Zara shirt with zipper detail in back, Hollister denim, my mom's navy Gap cardigan, Antonio Melani black flats, Fossil men's watch, Stylemint wrapping string used as a bracelet and American Eagle necklace. I really like Hollister jeans cause they are really the ones that fit me, I'm so short at 5'1, that everything is way too long and I have to get them altered but I'm too lazy to do that. And that necklace by the way will no longer be gracing its presence around my neck because I got caught on the emergency brake right after these pictures, forever immortalized though.

So one of my goals for Christmas break is too definitely update my blog more often! Hopefully! Thank you guys for reading my little blog, I really appreciate it!
Hope everyone is having a good week!

Antique/ Vintage Shopping in Belton

So for awhile now Nathan and I have been loving going to Goodwill and thrift stores. We have been trying to find good places to go antique and vintage shopping but we had no idea where to go. We found these great little shops in Belton Texas finally, which is where we go to school. Here are some pics of little finds that I saw. It still creeps me out that some of these things were owned by people who have already died. I need to get over that soon, because there are too many cute things to buy!

Cute things to buy does not include this jacket. I just think it looks so 80's and funny.

Handmade hair accessories.

I love these old vintage glass bottles. They even had this old Clorox glass bottle.

I love this shabby chic style.

Pocket watches. I want one.

I cannot wait to have my own house there were so many great ideas here for decorating. I think it would be awesome to mix old and new ideas to make it really modern. These antique stores had these creepy paintings of random families, it was creepy to think that people would actually buy these things and what? hang them up. Weird. How awesome do these shoes look? Vintage love it! They were too small and like I said before I'm still trying to get over wearing peoples things that I dont know who owned them.

Hope everyone is doing awesome.
